    Anyone using this product?

    Opinions?

Also a related question, which nobody seems to be able to answer. Does the kit include de-chlorination treatment as well?

I've used it quite often and IT WORKS! Just an example......we have a fish tank at the office and fish had to be added same day (LONG STORY), Organic Aqua was added and the tank was filled with fish. Water change once a week. The result? Not ONE fatality.
We've since used it on a few more tanks, although fish were not added immediately there as they were our tanks and we have not experienced any fatalities due to any spikes etc.

As far as I know it doesn't have a 'built-in' dechlorinator though.

It seems to work as advertised for freshwater tanks. Not entirely convinced of it's use in a saltwater tank however I have stocked a tank with corals/fish using organic aqua and didn't have any problems. Used in freshwater tanks as well (just the starter stuff, not the maintenance stuff).

We've used a cross section of the organic aqua products since they were launched and have always had great success with them in both freshwater and saltwater tanks. That said, your setup must be correctly and adequately designed and installed with the relevant equipment and cannot run on organic aqua alone...

Kent Clorinex (or something like that) is what we use and it works really well for immediate dechlorination and same day stocking...

Sorry I forgot to mention...I've only ever used the start-up stuff as well and have never used the maintenance products.

I noted that they specifically state the tanks need to air well, as the product converts to gas released off the water surface.

Same reason they also state you MUST have an airstone.

Well I've never used an airstone, but rather opened up the valve on my pump to pull air in from outside and make bubbles.

Anyone know the inner details of what the product actually does?

Reason I ask about the de-chlorination is that nowhere in their brochures or on their website do I see any mention that the water must be treated before being added to the tank.

They simply state fill tank half way from the tap, add Start-up Kit, fill up and add fish.

I do this without adding any water conditioners and I have yet to have a problem with it. Needless to say that I don't buy these products....I believe them to be a waste of money. But ok, water in different locations varies, so wha tworks for me might not work for the next person.
I would recommend, if one is keen on using these types of products, to get the Marltons brand of products. It's the cheapest and it does the job as well. K.I.S :)

I've never actually checked chlorine levels to be honest, and have on many occasions simply filled up with water straight from the tap, also without drama.
