Some of you may know that towards the middle of last year Century City took drastic steps to try and sort out the water quality in the canal. The water was brown, murky etc. The CC (Century City) people needed to get rid of the Carp in the canals. Apparently the Carp was the root of the problem. The carp shared the canals with Oreochromis mossambicus. A decission was made to use rotonene (not sure if is the correct spelling). Rotonene would kill all the fish in the canals. They caught a lot of them from the canals and kept them in holding ponds. The rotonene was used... Now a couple of months later the water is deffinately clearing up, I can see the bottom of the canal outisde my office. Best of all though is this (Not the best pics, but you'll get the idea): There's a huge school that lives right in front of my office. It was a bit windy so there is a lot of cr_p on the water, I'll get better pics on a day with no wind.
