I have finally decided to turn my 600l community tank into a Paludarium. Some of you are probably asking "What the hell is a Paludarium?", well to answer your question in a very simple manner, a Paludarium is a cross between an Aquarium and Terrarium (water and land). What I really like about a Paludarium is how natural it feels, it is truly a mini ecosystem that you can watch grow and mature into something beautiful.

I decided to post this thread now even though my setup is far from finished so that I don't have a million photos to upload all at once. I literally did this today so there are no plants or fish yet and I'm pretty sure there will be changes to the scape as I change it to suit the plants etc. I have put in some fake plants for now so that it at least has a bit of colour. Feel free to share your thoughts and ideas with me and maybe I will implement them :)

    And so it begins...

Nice. I like the rock idea in front of the tank. This is going to be awesome!

I put them in my Grandfather's new 6ft community... I might put some of them into the Paludarium once it has settled.

I added a lot of weight with those big rocks and I was afraid that the stand would not hold it. All the rocks are at the back so up on a stand the balance is compromised... I quite like it like this though, it's like a raised pond in my room :)
