online shopping

I"v never been one to try online shopping I always had a mistrust of paying without seeing and holding it for myself but I had no choice cause I cudnt find this seachem prime at any petshop I went to so I ordered some and paid right away its now over a week later and still nothing.its a local company now can someone tell me if I'm being unreasonable or is this normal?I know I can't mention the name if only to warn other ppl not to support them because I never will again and tomorrow morning I will be conveying my displeasure telephonically.

 

Did they not mention anything with regards to shipping. Have you gotten a tracking number? I have bought many things off ebay and sometimes it can take about 30 days. The problem is our postal services are bad.
Hope it arrives soon.

 

In their defence they didn't mention a time but surely being local over a week is a bit much plus I had to pay for the transport and it wasn't cheap I'm sure it wasn't thru the post office for that price

What did they charge you for shipping?
Did they indicate it is in stock? Many times they only order when you order and do not carry stock.
Are they local as in JHB or as in SA?

Why did you not order from a sponsor? Out of stock or out priced?

 

During our emails he never mentioned there was no stock because I told him it was urgent.I really have no idea where he is there is no info on the site,I'm sure I sent a sponsor request will check again if I did

 

I buy online a lot. I use all different types of shipping. Counter to counter overnight, counter to counter normal shipping. Insured. Land. Air. Courier. Express courier. Want to know the craziest thing, except for the overnight stuff, they all take time. One week wait is not something i would stress about.

Phone the supplier tomorrow and ask for the tracking number, then phone the post office to track it. Theres a very good chance its waiting for you already, and the post office is waiting for you to collect. Generally if the postage is high, as you claim it is, then it has bee sent via registered post, with tracking number.

I paid almost R80 delivery for a 500ml bottle.I sent a sponsor request 4 weeks ago I'm still waiting.I have no idea where they are located maybe iv been robbed their site had no details.I mentioned the urgency he never said there was no stock.

 

Phone supplier in morning. R80 will have tracking.

Bought something from Taiwan off ebay, shipping has free, was sent on the 27th received it on the 7th at my house.

 

I know this does not help, but Jungle Aquatics has stock.

 

would have saved me a lot of time and aggravation if they had replied.

Don't blame our sponsors for not getting back to you. There was nothing stopping you from picking up the phone and contacting them directly. Remember our sponsors have a business to run, and are not spending 24/7 on the site trying to find/make business.

Let me put it another way... sponsors ARE NOT at the members beck-an-call. They pay to ADVERTISE on the site whatever they feel they want to advertise. Responding to a "sponsor- wanted" request is purely a service the do if they have the time.

Tried email again? I think there is still hope. As someone said, it is probably at the post office, waiting for you. Phone your PO, sometimes they will help just on your name and address.

 

iv been emailing and calling all day.will try the post office and see what they say

 

i just got off the phone with the post office and they want a tracking number.
