haha i also cannot pass the opportunity to stare at someones tank!

I think the red fronts are prettier lol , does this mean you need 3 more blue and 4 more red to keep a good colony or is 7 a total number in all species?

Looking forward to seeing what you upload, do mention me if its in another thread incase i miss it

Will see, might keep it as is as do not want to add to much more fish to the aquarium and the fronts are quite pricey. Think the odd 3 might look nice together with the 4 blues I hope. I Will let you know when I d a new thread.

Those red frontosa do look fantastic.
Seen some youngsters at the lfs, and am sure they get better with age.

Yes it has arrived yesterday. I was going to wait till Sunday when it was time to do water changes to begin my work but the other members of my household could not bare to wait a minute longer than that one smoke after dinner

Took me just a little under 2 hours to empty tank to 20% remove stones and gravel with decor, insert sand (trick below) and rescape with the new decor.

To avoid a big mess in the tank I used a cut up 2lt bottle as a funnel (ofcoz you can use a funnel If you have one) used the part of my Syphon that goes into the tank with the funnel on the other end and then just aimed where I wanted it placed and managed to get it done while making little mess to the water. Topped up and ran my filters and by morning it was clear enough to get a picture. But I'm not yet happy enough to post it haha. Besides the glare off the tank got me in my boxers hahahaha

Will update when it gets crystal clear. Added carbon this afternoon only as by now all big particles would be caught up by the sponge so hoping for crystal clear water by tomorrow

    Looking Great!!!

If you have a spare bulkhead add a cut-up coke bottle to it with more filter wool inside to help

I actually bought a sponge filter to go on it but the cable is too short. Decided to put it in to assist with moving water to assist in clearing up. Will extend the cable and move it to the centre of the tank at the bottom

Wish they could add at least 1m additional cable, would not mind paying +/-R20 more for something like that

Lol to be honest I bought a cheap filter because I just needed the part with the media which I used on my 2in1 and it only has 1m cable .. filled that with sponge and my overhead has floss with ceramic rings and carbon .. then just at the outlet I have zeolite with activated carbon

On the other end I have a 1000lt ph which has its own set of carbon and spong. So this one is an overkill but I think the centre needs the flow hitting the glass to move dirt that hangs around at the substrate

nothing wrong with getting a cheap filter, but still wish cables could be longer, I have to set up 2x electrical points/extensions on each side of the tank to run electronics.

Just check where stuff gets stuck and redirect flow to stop dead spots. I still need to do the same in mine.

Yes I have an extension to the cupboard on the right. Then an extension to the left cupboard thank God it looks neat.

And yes I am sure the cheapest thing in manufacturing would be the cable lol so why make lives hard for it haha.

With the all round sand I'll be able to see where the dead zones are much better now .. so would get it moved soon. Just struggling to find cable to buy here lol.. there aren't exactly any hardware shops. And a store that sells lighting does not sell the cabling to connect the lights. It's hilarious really
