Hi everyone. I’ve been browsing the forum but never formally introduced myself yet. I’m from the USA.

I’ve been in the hobby for several years now. I started with one tank and now I’ve got a room full of them. I’ve got angelfish ( Bulgarian Sealpoint, Albino Dantums, wild Leopoldii and F1’s, and Philippine Blue Halfblack), Dark Knight Rams, Discus, and Some Flowerhorns. I’ve got 22 tanks running at this time (10 20-gal tanks, 6 40-gal breeders, 5 55-gal, and 1 125-gal tanks). I do breed Angelfish, Discus, and now Rams. I like fish that are not common and I always like the challenge the hobby gives us...breeding fish and keeping them healthy.

Anyway, I’m glad I found this forum. And Hi again to everyone!

Thank you guys/gals for the warm welcome and complement. I hope I didn’t bombard everyone with the pictures I posted.

Just a background on how I run my fishroom....I initially have the wall rack on one recirculating system, but them decided to individualize it. Most of the tanks on the double rack set up are drilled. What I do now is open each valve in front of each tank to drain them (drains to floor drain) daily, then I’ve got a 2 50-gal drums that I age 2 different kind water....one is RO/tap water mix and the other one is just tap water. I use the RO/tap mix for my breeders, and use dechlorinated tap for my growout fish. I then just pump the water to the tanks thru the pvc’s on top of eack tank.

I’ve got a centralized air pump that that is piped in around the room, and supplies all the tanks.

All my tanks have a corner diy HMF filter. Each tank gets its own siphon. I don’t mix waters in eack tank. I do this as a precautionary measure. Most of the time, I let my pairs raise their own babies...unless I’m trying to get faster results from the pairs.

Hope I didn’t bore anyone, lol

@Babers ... you can never bore us and as for pictures.. we just love those..

I must admit that although I dont have rack breeding systems, if I did, I would also not mix waters from the different tanks by running all on one system
I feel its too risky when there is so much at stake.
I like the way you have set it up..

I love to see discus raising their babies... its such an awesome sight
