That is amazing wouldn't we all love one just think how amazing it would look like if that was filled with hundreds of cichlids

Its looking a bit dull... Would be nice if there was some colour in the tank.

Now that's a decent size tank for a couple of Pangasius!

I like the idea a lot, but I wouldn't use the panel setup he did. Looks like a REAL sturdy patio door. I would've used layered perspex safety glass.

Obviously a cost issue. I can only imagine that he would also liked a one panel setup.

Big tank....i would've spent that R56 100 on making the tank look natural though, and then add some smaller fish. Now it just looks like he has big fish in a small jar. tsk tsk...

What thickness are we looking at for a tank this size? Any tank builders in the house?

Nah that sounds a bit thin... My tank guy buys up to 25mm glass from the factory in Boksburg. One of those should do the trick safely...

that thing should be heavily planted community tank (but what lighting???).................or lots of clown loaches, tinfoil barbs and bala sharks.. but then again i am a sucker for loaches, bala sharks and tinfoil barbs... so my opinion might be a bit biased lol

by the way this label seems confusing "Something's fishy: The 'aquarium' in the cellar of Mr Heathcote's house, features a collection of tropical sea life" those pangasius cats etc are not marine fish but tropical fresh water fish...
