Was wondering if living in the past does not stop us form growing into the future. Point in case, having members that are not active still on https://www.tropicalaquarium.co.za/members/ is a flash back of loads of posts on TASA.

Should this not rather be Notable Active Members - with some sort of classification of what is active?

Agreed. Minimum number of posts per month / year needs to be obtained in order to be classified as active IMO

I feel like setting a goal for a number of posts may sway people toward a quantity vs quality in their postings. I'm all for good banter, though.

But I have to ask... does this really matter? I mean, is this something people follow closely?

No offence but this can create a scenario of people posting junk.

I also feel quality over quantity is far more beneficial.Personally I feel enriched with earned likes.

Correct me if I'm wrong....I think what the issue is seeing old classified posts coming up from yester year and those members aren't active anymore to reply.Never the less I dont think members should be written off for whatever the case may be.They should be granted to keep there profile for when and if they return.Alot of members use TASA not necessarily to post but to use as a reference for information.

To answer you're question Ferdi which is a valid point.Maybe there should be a status of Active member or Not active member on you're profile so members can distinguish should it be desired. How that would be determined is beyond me.

I agree with the flaws in the number of posts option. Maybe time spent on the forum per month? Or posts get locked if no activity has occurred for a specific period of time?

Maybe just have people that have posted the minimum (say 50?) over a year period or whatever.
