But still they are living in one tank.

Wow that is awesome. I love how you capture all the little creatures and creepy crawly's in the tank.

We always think we only have fish or shrimp but if we look closer we can see all the other things in our tanks.

    Great vid Ferdie.

    Seems like Planaria and Daphnia.
I couldn't ID the other small critters.

100% on the planarian, the small things are seed shrimp, way cooler than Daphnia.

This tank has no fish ... so the density is way more than say your normal community - for sure.

These are the primary tank mates

After feeding for a while I also fond a new Planaria fellow in the tank .. not the normal planarian, they also look different when the "belly" is full of spirulina.

No clue what is whizzing by at 6 seconds - thin line.

BTW here is a cool metal floss link that has some fun facts on planarian. The way they eat is aaahh weird, well like most of the info on them ... hmm just had my first cup of coffee in 2 weeks. Wonder if I can get the planarian hooked on caffeine.

BTW what would a migraine feel like for a simple brain or if it had two heads would both throb?

Seed shrimp found their way into my shrimp tank, too. It is amazing how active they are. They infest the buckets with green water that I keep outside, and once there, they return year after year. I think they also produce cysts that survive desiccation and adverse conditions. Anyway, they are a useful food source for fry and small fish, so I let them be.

Flatworms are very primitive animals, and in spite thereof are very successful. They can be cut into hundreds of small pieces, each of which will regrow into a complete worm.

I would bet they suffer from depression rather than migraines :p.

he he and not just depression, they leave bad smell that might drive others away at some point.

4'th grab .. but daro fish flakes seem to be the best bet to catch these, let it be for about an hour. Evenings seem to give a better catch also.
