Did you touch her with your bare hands out of water? Was she in her tank/pond water all the time?

I removed her to the tank for 15 min and then back in the pond again, yes bare hands why? She past away this morning  her body had a yellowish colour. Everyone else looks okey also the guppies, i found everytime i put on the uv light one female fantail gets a whitish mark on her and i left the uv light on for about 9 hours 2 days ago, can this be a problem? Its a built in uv light in a filter

I don't think it's your UV unless you fish managed to swim through the filter.

The reason I asked about touching the fish is that I was taught to never touch fish with dry hands/hands as it damages them (probably something to do with their slime coat) and causes their scales to fall off. Not sure if that is an old fishing tale but it stuck with me ever since.

Yes it is true but not to that extend, but what hapens even after you wash your hands there are still some bacteria on your hands that can cause your fish to become sick or even die after the stress of being caught and moved around.

When handling any fish, your hands should be wet. Detergents like oil-retardants get absorbed into the skin and cause the epithelial tissue damage. The fish raised it's scales? When you say you took the fish out, was it out in the air? Most fish can't handle such long periods outside of water.

Marius, that looks like a fungal infection.

I remember you said you had meds for fungi - can you isolate and treat this fish? But I'd advise you to watch the others, fungal infections can be contagious, and if I am treating for fungal problems, I tend to prefer treating the entire tank - but I expect your pond is too big to do that?

I treated the pond a few times, but 5 days ago another had this spot, didn't treat the pond to see what will happen, it disappeared 2 days ago, no this one, every week someone gets this spot but disappears again. The first time I saw this was when I tested the uv light, the next days was the first time I saw it. I can treat the pond but like I said, just a few days then there is another one with a spot. I was thinking on cleaning the pond, new water, the pond is a bit dirty and green. Maybe the temp changes going on? The guppies are doing great, will be taking them out soon and the heaters aswell . The pond has been running for more then a year now, bit scared to redo the entire pond, but water changes has been done in big quantities the last few weeks to see if it will help but no improvements. Any tips would be apresiated . The pond isn't to big, I have a pond fungal care, but I don't want to treat because the meds must still be in there .

I doubt re-doing the entire pond will help. It will probably just stress the fish out and upset the balance. I also don't think the change in temp would cause this because goldfish can handle those changes. Perhaps it is the big water changes that is preventing the infection getting worse and the reason the spots are disappearing quickly. What about giving the fish something to boost immunity, like Microbe-lift Artemiss and Herbtana?

@Marius Swart, I regularly use Sera products to treat any oddities that I find in my tank with great success. I will tell you that the Bactopur tabs are very expensive and you have to use 1 tab per 50 litres of tank/pond water so I reckon that it's going to be very expensive in the long run for you.

My suggestion is to check your water quality, seeing as you have now had 2 fish die from dropsy. Secondly I would look at buying a Sera product called Omnipur, it treats a broad spectrum of nasties, and I've had the best success with this product. The alternative product that I will recommend to you is Unipet Anti-Internal Bacteria treatment, I've had success in saving a couple of my fish that have had dropsy before. I will also advise you to put salt into your pond as it goes a long way in helping the fish with their general health. Guppies can tolerate a lot of salt in their water, so this won't be a problem for them, but remember to switch off your UV light when medicating.

Lastly, I have handled a lot of my own fish with wet, bare hands and they have had no ill effects as a result. Make sure that you always wash your hands before handling the fish and after to kill off any bacteria. I worked at Loolilocks and we have to handle the bigger Koi so as not to put stress on their bodies and organs by catching them by nets, and trust me there have been some of them that were handled that were well over R50 000 and I know that they are still alive and doing well...

Sorry for the essay, but thanks to @tracyp for bringing it to my attention for help. I hope this helps you, should you need further advice on the products, please pm me.
