    Hi Gals and Guys

Brand spanking new to this hobby and loving every moment...thought i would just say hi and post pics of my new tank.

Custom made 3ft tank (148L) with built in bio filter... thus far only 2 green spotted puffers and a bristlenose pleco smimming. Gravel substrate, 4 plants and some drift wood...

Super excited on how it has progressed thus far..look forward to the progress and adding some new members

    Regards

Hi, and welcome to the Forum

Puffers can be very nippy, so be careful what other fish you add.

Hi Puffergirl, welcome! Love the tank so far. Is this the one that Blade posted about a few days ago?
As Reedfish says, watch out for those guillotine teeth on the puffers. I used to find headless casualties floating around in the morning

And I should also add, that GSP need brackish to do well long term.

Welcome Puffergirl. You might as well start planning your second tank now as this hobby is addictive.

Thanks guys for the heads up on joining the forum....lucky GSP are still small and still thinking about tank mates for them...been thinking some scats maybe ... and will eventually turn brackish in the long term.

Some ideas of suitable tank mates would be great..

    Thanks

Just an update on my awesome tank...did some work on it this weekend. Added some more LED's, now has 30 white and 6 blue, which looks super awesome and did my first water change and filter clean on my own. Now she is running well.

Added a bumblebee catfish into the tank with the puffers, a special one tho ....she has a deformed spine. Squiggly is her name. Hoping she finds her tube soon to settle.

Looking good, puffers are very clever, they look all slow and friendly and then............ KAPOW!........ fish without a tail swim away.

Looking nice. Puffers are actually brackish water fish and do much better in it. Add some salt or read up on their natural enviroment.
