    Hey Ladies and Gents.

Not new to the hobby and recently sold my 220 lt marine setup to make space during sanding my floors in my flat. Was popping in to take a look at this forum as I was kind of tempted to start up a new fresh water system. Problem is deciding what to do and how to scape :(

    Hi guys

I'm new to this hobby. Busy setting up my first 180 L freshwater planted tank. I was referred to this forum by somebody at Pet Stop.

    Hi,

I have a few fish in mind:
    1. Harlequin Rasbora
    2. Angel fish
    3. Leopard Danio
    4. Dwarf gourami
    5. Siamese Algae eater
    6. Amano Shrimp
    7. Red Cherry chrimp

As for the plants in not really sure yet:
    1. Java Moss
    2. Java Fern
    3. Anubias
    4. Jungle val
    5. Amazon Swords

It will mostly be high tech.

    Aren't those low tech plants?

Shrimp will probably not be compatible with the angels and the dwarf garoumi might also try picking a fight with the angels despite its size.

    Also,welcome to TASA.

I just read that those plants would go nice with all the fish and shrimp, any suggestions on other plants?

Also some alternative fish that wont eat the shrimps please?

    thanks

Anything with a small mouth, the angels and dwarf garoumi are both center display fish.Angels are usually kept in planted tanks because they can't eat most schooling fish (they can eat some like neons for example) and they aren't very aggressive or destructive of plants.

The dwarf garoumi won't eat any fish (except shrimp hatchlings like all fish) but it is curious and slightly aggressive. It might end up nipping of the antenna or legs from the shrimp.
