Hello fellow hobbyists. I'm quite new to the hobby. I live in Vereeniging. I'm sad to say the bug bit me a bit hard. I've got 14 tanks already. My plan is to possibly sell some livestock eventually to get some money back to invest.

    I'm currently breeding

    Blue Moscow Guppies
    Red rilli shrimps.

My other tanks are filled with variety.
I will be getting more shrimp varieties soon, what would you suggest.

I might take you up on that offer, I built myself a sump to test my skills a while ago and it was working fine until one evening there was water all over the place.

What was in my favour - The sump was on a very low shelf and there were only 5 Neon Tertas inside. I noticed it before immediately so I managed to save the fish.
What I've learnt, Foam under a tank is very important as the sump did not have any. It was built with 6mm glass btw. I found it in a shed in my back yard when I bought the house.

Sump had a crack on the bottom.

6mm glass is decent thickness. Good for around 40cm depth depending on the other dimensions but yes polystyrene is definitely needed. At least you were able to save the fish.

I got some 10mm glass here
    1x 1500mm x 600
    2x 600 x 578mm
    2x 750x728mm.

If you know how to cut thick glass then maybe you can make a 600 cube form it. I have R500 into it and hopefully I can break even

Hi! I love that "wall-stad" look of a tank rack. You've clearly been bitten hard! :)
