    Hi Guys,

I'm receiving my new tank this afternoon, and plan on setting it up etc tonight and tomorrow.

If I use some of the filter material from my existing tank, would that speed up the innitial cycling? Or would I still have to wait a week before transferring the fish from the smaller tank to the larger?

Just take 50% of the current tank's water and add the other 50% with new water and let it stand overnight with an airstone....that should do the trick
