Okay so today I bought a Hailea F60 (60L) tank for the guppy challenge everyone is talking about.
I will keep it bare bottom as I prefer the clinical minimalistic look.

The tank comes with a 24 watt twin T5 tube, one blue one white, will this be enough to grow anubias?

I might add a bristle nose pleco and either an angle for siamese fighter in the tank also.

Looking at the photo I think I need a bigger piece of driftwood.

Sad thing is that I have a nice piece of wood in my garden probably 70cm x 30cm x 30cm with lots of curves and bends, must have been roots or something. Might donate it for fish lol.

Hopefully this Sunday I might add some plants and a heater and a blue background then if all goes to plan add some fish next week, if time permits it.

Okay another update, I added a background, substrate, and two plants which I will plant in terracotta containers with ADA but I need to see if they survive the 24w lighting of my tank first. I will add some duckweed and aquatic grass which seems to thrive in my goldfish tank on 15w lighting, and as soon as I can find anubias will add one into the tank as well.

Being in Pretoria I don't know if a heater is needed, the temp currently is standing at 28 degrees celsius.

What tank mates can I add to a guppy tank?

I am thinking 5 corys and one Saimese male or a single angel fish the tank is 35cm deep?

So for the guppies I dont know if I should have a female tank and add one male and see what happens or just 15 males and later start the breeding tanks with females?

Happy you didn't go bare bottom. The angel will grow too big for the tank. If you ad a Betta he might see the guppy males as a threat, if the look slightly similar to him. Corys will work.

Hi Quick update, I was traveling due to work commitments since January and am now back in Pretoria,so maybe now I can start with this guppy experiment, today I visited a petstore on the intent to buy guppies but came home with 9 endler live-bearers, once home I discovered that one is a yellow snakeskin guppy. As I understand Guppies and endler's are related, would any cross breeding between them be considered to to degrade them genetically?

IMO no. It all depends on what you want to atchieve in the end. In the guppy challange I started of with a male Endler and female Guppy. In reality I have Endler hybrids now. I do believe that the tiger you have will also be classified as a hybrid.

Thanks that's good to know. Planning to see whats pops out of the females in a months time then decide on what type or line to pursue to breed.

    I'll take :p

Good luck, my guppies all croaked within 2 months :(
With the status of Endlers I wouldn't really cross them but it's up to you
