new stand and hood

So guys just wanna post the stand i was talking about in the general section...its almost done , just need to get more wood to cover it all round and for doors.

This is how high it was when i just finished, still a bit 'unsquare" here as well(is unsquare even a word?)

have the best wife....i make my work area anywhere and she doesnt mind at all...

This is the hood that i will be using and that is the tank that is going on the stand.

This is how it is now after i made it shorter last night.


So what you guys think?

P.S - any one from P.E, if you have a spare 2ft tank to borrow me for a week or so i'd really appreciate it.Want to house the fish and plants in there while i move everything over to the stand. Dont wanna use my 1ft spare in case my malawis or the fish in the 3ft get sick?

 

So this is where it is at now...



All went well I think. there are a few things i would change though which I will when i make the stand and hood for the 5ft tank.

The stand structure is all made with pine, and the rest is with supawood that i got at a bargain @ R200 for a whole 16mm sheet with melamine veneer on the inside.

i have 2 Eveready 14w daylights and 2 Philips 18w daylights in the tank.

 

Ok, after the problem with the sand turning black, i packed it up and started over. Here are the results. Please note that water is still murky here...
