So I'm starting a planted pico:
5 Liter and 6 led of 1watt each; three of them are 6k and three 15k.

But now I'm not sure  what to use as substrate and fertilizer? Any help....

    Thanx :heeeelllllooooo:

Firefly, I'm not realy a plant guru, and hardly know the names of the plants I have in my other two setups... was thinking of doing grases different shapes and sizes.

Any better ideas? BTW PFP how do you prep it? :stupido3:

    Maybe a dwarf vallis.
To prepare PFP, simply buy a brick at Builders Express or nursery and add it to 5 litres of water. It's even better if you can get Chemicult and add that to the water. Let it soak over night and then add some to your tank BEFORE you add water and gravel. It MUST be capped.

Getting PFP done in a pico will be more then a challenge. I would rather add some Flourite and dose in the water column.

even just normal inert gravel with water column dosing is enough

I wouldn't do any undergravel ferts. In the small tanks this always leads to disaster. As Shihr suggests, get a good quality fertilizer. (Microbelift Bloom and Grow is pretty good and very cost effective. a 250ml bottle will last you over 2 years on that tank.)
