New : Planted 4ft guppy community tank

Just a quick look at the new tank I've set up so far.
There's still some work to be done, but this is what it looks like right now.
The current occupants are 6 black mollies, 13 guppies and some snails I brought over from the smaller tank

The plants are a mix of plants that were struggling in my old 50l aquarium (Java fern, some moss and a grass I cannot recall the name of) and new plants from Aquatic Plants SA.
New plants are :
Christmas moss
Crypt wendtii Sri Lanka
Java Fern (beautiful specimens, if you're in the market)
Crypt Willisii
Buce - Crocodile Land
Eleocharis acicularis mini (spikerush)
Juncus repens (creeping rush)
And then some Süsswassertang I picked up at Aqua Empire.

Thanks to our friends at Eskom and City power I've just ordered a rechargabel airpump and larger sponge filter for my setup to use during power outages.
The heat seems to be pretty steady since it's still pretty warm, I have no idea what to do for heat during winter if this keeps being an issue.

Other than that, I'm seeing some die back in the plants, but I am feeding them and doing regular water changes while the tank adjusts to the bio-load.

 

Looks very nice, it will be grown up in a couple of weeks.

My experience with heat is the same as with water parameters, the bigger tanks copes a lot better than the smaller tanks and I wont be too worried if tank is inside the house and not close to a door/window

 

Very much agree @oupoot. With the first loadshedding we had over the weekend my tank's temperature didn't change at all for the 4 hours without power, and I don't even have a cover or lid on it at the moment.

 

@Whoknows Well, from my first 5 females I bought 4 were already pregant, and I have 4 freeswimming fry in the tank already, so 1399 doesn't seem too unrealistic
