    Gooooooooood morning all,

Just like to introduce myself. I'm an addict, a fish addict and more specifically Tropical aquariums. I am new to the "tank-hood" but learning and researching a lot regarding tropical tanks.

Just started my mini-tank a month ago basically and prepared it properly before introducing my Neon Tetras in my tank. Its a 60L tank kitted with a heater, entry level filter (looking for a proper HOB filter to replace this by this weekend), some nice decorations and so on.

Going to change the stones with sand soon as well so this is my little project for now before I switch to a bigger tank.

I've already read a lot of your posts and appreciate a lot of advice given to others, I have learned a lot already from the info shared and will definitely consider asking questions here first before just jumping into anything.

Looking forward to reading more and seeing a lot of pics.

Ill post my tank over the weekend to give you an idea of what I have now.

Thanks to Ortaega for introducing me to this page, for some reason the referral option didn't work.

Welcome to the forum. Java Ferns are quite easy to maintain...they have no specific needs with regards to water chemistry and/or lights. Most people tie them to rocks or wood as they don't need to be planted. If you however do want it on your bottom...just make sure the rhizome (piece with roots) aren't buried underneath the gravel ;)

Evening all. Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Liam and I am new to the forum but not the hobby. I am from Johannesburg and my favourite fish would be pretty difficult to choose.

Going to build the sand quite high to low from the right side high and the middle low to the left high again, taking out the plant and bridge and the pillars will be half covered and a little angled as-if its underneath the sand. Then on the right I'm going to put a plant pot in as a hole facing to the middle where my shrimps will be able to hide if needed and on-top of the sand in the right corner ill put some Java Furn. IS going to look GREAT but will take some time still to complete. :leisure::party2:
