OK guys so I got a 120 gallon tank, wanted mlawis, didn't know about peacocks, haps .mbunas and just bought any I could find. My tank is not done yet, still busy with the canopy and lighting, then I have a corner filter, and a aqua canister filter, so its okey, any thing I can do to make it better? My fish have all been living for the last 3months. They seem to get along well, so I have 17 Malawi's, don't know their names yet, but bringing my self op to speed, I know there's a livingstoni and a venustes, my pH is between 7.8 and 8.4. I do have to pleco's. Is there any other types of bottom feeders that will survive in this hard water. Thanks guys your help will be appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the forum

Your tank looks very, very nice

I am not sure what other bottom feeders will be ok with Malawis but there must be some African catfish that would fit in.
That being said, I don't have much experience with them but I am sure some of the guys will soon chime in

HI you can look at clown loaches, i have seen tank running up to 9 PH for them, but they we slowly acclimated to the PH, a sudden shock might kill them.

Thanks I'll try them. I hear they must be in a school of 6, so I'll get them and try. Just 1 question, how do I acclimate them to my water

I would say you can use the same drip system into a bucket, with a air stone over night maybe. Think that should be fine.
