new little discus

hi prof dirk. got a quick question just last week got a leopard discu to go into my tank. the six that are in there are about 12 to 15 cm and the new discus between 8 and 10. so my thinking was to put the little guy in a tank on his own and feed him for a month or so and just see how he goes maybe put on 1cm. wanted to give him a legup so to speek. he does not look happy in the tank buy himself. seem to be going on his side at the top of the tank, but then as soon as i do a water change in his tank seems to right himself? could it be he is try to take cover? " nothing in the tank." put some papper round one side of the tank just to give him a corner. would this be normal for a discus on his own?

then you will get a definitive answer. but he sounds sick to me and you need to give the right info so the prof can tell you what to treat for and with haste.
