Today at around noon I picked up my first imported shipment of new babies to grow on. I got 63 Electric Blue Jack Dempseys and 40 Red Terrors. they came from Aquazone, Indonesia. over 24 hours shipping time! All the fishes were individually packed in small packets. Unfortunately two packets popped during shipping, so I lost two of the Red Terrors. Not so bad! Otherwise; So far so good, all the others are absolutely fine and resting now. Exciting! LOL!

I have often considered importing aome fish but with our infrastructure I'm not sure if I want to risk it

I understand how you feel, I felt the same way, therefore I used WCB Imports to do it for me. Their service was great! They can get anything you want including plants from anywhere in the world. They are based in Centurion, but they will get your order to you no matter where you live! Worked for me! Much cheaper than than buying one by one at petshops, but you must take at least one full box, they supply most reputable petshops in south africa. Their specialty is Koi and Hikari fish food.

    Sounds good
That is a lot of potentially aggressive cichlids when they mature. How are you going to house them all?

Thanks Guys! @Reedfish I have lots of tanks! LOL! The EBJDs like to school, so no problem when they grow. The Festas are another story. I intend to keep the best of these batches for my Jumbo Tank, the rest I will sell off. @thysie Nothing for sale as yet, they're still small, but watch this space, when they are ready I'll let you know! You can get larger ones from Andrew's Aquatic, but just make sure you choose the exact fishes as Andrew mixes his batches and young RTs look very similar to young Red Devils!

Here are a few pic's of the EBJDs. They are still very shy and skoot off when I try to get a decent pic! I did the best I can for now... 20161210_111053.jpg 20161210_112111.jpg 20161210_112610.jpg
