new additions to my tank

Hi guys its been long since I have posted ,so here goes I recently added a pair of pearl gourami , 6 angels and a pair of viejita dwarf cichlids .sorry for no pics will try to post some tomorrow .

Hi guys my male viejita dwarf. Cichlid is not eating, at all and is llooking a bit too thin for my liking, any help on how to solve this. Thanks

It's a 3 foot tank planted ( recently). It's partner is eating fine. He moves around but I don't see him eat

Tank is planted, have some caves for these fish to hide in. Just that it is not eating. Plus at the front of its dorsal fin,it is bitten, and bellow that it's scale seems to be peeling. Any advice on why it's not eating. I feed my fish cichlid pellets.

 

@sick -lid man: Yo that is some seriouse damage to the fin might explain why it is not eating. I would suggest looking at some medication that would premote healing and restoration of the slime coating. I know Seachem sells such a product but the name escapes me.

 

Will do,I don't think it would make it, it's swimming is gone bad, in an angular motion.

@sick -lid man: Ag no man sorry to hear, do you know how it happend, so it does not happen to your other fish in the future.

 

Thanks @mxz that is the stuff used it before and worked pretty well.

 

You can try adding a rooibos teabag to the tank. It will turn your water the colour of tea, but it promoted healing because of the tannins in the tea. Hope he makes it.

 

I really don't know what happened to him, was so looking toward on trying to breed the pair.

It's best to always quarantine any new fish before adding them to your main tank. I learned this expensive lesson a while ago.

I quarantine with Paraguard for 2-3 weeks.
