Hi, I had arock covered in algae and my endlers sorted it out in a week.
They are also small but try only males or females so they stop distracting each other.

    Hi Lizid,

Is the algae the "green spot algae" that frms on the glass? At far as I recall from reading Laure's posts on algae, this particular algae starts when your nitrates start going up. Laure recommends that when fertilizing a certain method, I think he talks about the EI method here, getting the green spot algae on the glass on day 7 is actually a good indication because this means that the plants have used up the nitrates and the excess is now ready to be taken out through a waterchange... which usually happens on day 7.

I would recommend you to check your maintenance routine, and maybe step it up a little.

Another important factor is what type of lighting are you using, and what is the Kelvin rating. Also, how long do the lights stay on for? If the light is the wrong spectrum, the plants won't benefit from it, but the algae blooms under it. Also, plant's only really need 10-12 hours (max) per day, andything more than that and the algae will bloom.

    Shot Zoom, here goes lol

I do weekly water changes due to the breeding, the light up untill last night were 10000K 10w bulbx1, now it is that light and a new one, 6500K bulb 10w,

The Algea has just been on the back glass thus far I am not convinced it is Green Spot Algea...

I need some advice on doing gravel Cleaning as I dont want to mess with the fry...

The 10,000k globe could be the problem.

Algea is part of an echo system ... but if it really bothers you then take a credit card and scrape it off. Way to many system have been crashed because we try to find quick fixes for algae - that includes adding a cleaner of some sort. Rather see if you can find the source of the problem and rectify it over time.

Like with you changing the light -- observe your tank over the next few weeks - could be that the new 6500k is way better for your other plants and that they will now consume all available nutrients thus starving the algea.
