need help

Hi all

As you can see this is my tank setup when we filled it up on Tuesday night
It took a long time to get to this stage as I build the tank and sump from scratch

tank size L=1500 H=700 W=600 SUMP SIZE normal 4 foot with 5 chambers it looks bear in the pic but more filter media was added later I’m using 300 watt heater and would like to know where will the best place be to put it in the sump ??????
The sump inlet is on the right side and outlet on the left side

 

From what I have seen from other people's sumps they put it on the inlet side, if anyone else knows better please ad to it.

 

Ditto,as it is safer and the pump will not/should not empty that chamber.
Have you checked the overflow etc when you simulate a powerfailure?

 

It makes sense to put it in the inlet where I had it for when the power does go off it will not run dry like I said I was running 1x 300 watt jaguar but after 3 days it was just not picking up the temp so I bought a another 300 watt jaguar and it is going a lot better now o yes I did do a power out test to make sure I don’t flood the place lol
