I agree, when GBR's get stressed or unhappy they lose all colour. I fit hasnt changed colour ever, then all I can tell you is thats its a dwarf cichlid.

I think its a Bolivian ram (Microgeophagus altispinosa) there care is much easier than GBR.

I don't want to argue with you or be rude but how are you sure its a GBR?

The GBR have more color even if stressed, I'v seen thim with Whithe Spot and they still have more color.

Nealos6 how big is the fish?

Don't want to get in the middle of an argument but that doesn't look like a GBR either? The vertical bars are very dominant on the body? Stressed GBR's go pale but there barring doesn't become more bold.

Looks like some sort of flag cichlid?

I think your right Hawk we both might be wrong.

I did a search and there are only 2 species of ram so I think we can role them out.

    Its definitely a dwarf cichlid.

Sorry if there were any hard feelings DewaldC.

Yes thank you. I am quite aware of what they are called and in my limited experience (1 year) of keeping GBR's have never seen a GBR looking like that hence the question as to whether they were another cichlid of some sort.
