    Hi All,

Finally setup my Nano Cube on Monday.
Had a few hiccups when filling the tank.
Water dispenser decided to give in water splashed straight into the substrate.

This caused the subtrate to be disturbed and clouded in thick brown colour. Some of the plants became unlodge and floated.

I tried to replant best I could in the cloudy water. Over and above this the spiderwood also floated which added to the predicament lol. Added a random rock ontop and kept it from floating away.

Its now day 2 and tank is looking good. Wood started to go fungy as it transitions and becomes waterlogged.

Tank is busy cycling and im doing 70 to 80% daily water changes this week. 2nd week will be 60 to 70% and from the 3rd week will be 50% water changes. 4th Week will reduce to twice weekly water changes of 50% and then ill monitor as time goes on.

Attached is a picture of the tank taken today.

Feel free to ask any questions.

Ps livestock will be introduced after week 3 once I find what im looking for.

    Regards

    Very nice.

I would add shrimp, CPD, nerite, Cory's and either Otto's or amano shrimp.

Thank you.. Cant wait for it to be grown in and wood to be water logged.

Was thinking round about the same. Some Shrimp, Nerite and Otto.

Have 2 weeks to decide and make up my mind. Thats the good thing about cycling the tank lol. Kinda settles the excitement to make proper decisions.

Progress Update on the Nano Cube.

The day finally arrived where I could do a water change after treatment for Cynobacteria.

Was so excited I nearly forgot to do the water test. Only after trimming and replanting did I remember.

First time doing any sort of water test but found that this API kit is easy to use and have only heard good reviews on them.

From my untrained eye the results are as follow :

    Wide Range PH was 7.0
Ammonia was either 0 or 0.25
    Nitrite was 0
Phosphate was extremely difficult to capture the colour but assuming it was 1
Nitrate was either 10 or 20

Im actually very happy with the results seeing that a water change was last done on May 12. During this time tank was treated for Cynobacteria, Hydra/Planaria along with one quick dose of General Algae treatment.

Did a 20% water change (6 litres) and trimmed and replanted some plants. Replaced 10 litres of freshwater.

Still not adding Liquid ferts or Liquid Co2 for the next week or 2. Will see how plants do.

I will do another water test on Friday for Phosphate and Nitrate to see the levels after the water change.

Ps have random snails in the tank... First unofficial livestock added while adding plants
