I have started a tiny iwagumi scape 2 weeks ago. To see the scale I placed a std size pen in front. I'm growing hc and hairgrass the way Tom Barr has done (dry start).

I'm currently spraying it am and pm with my other tank water with a few drops of flourish added. I might change the rocks when I find better ones.
    Only 1x 18w daylight cfl (6500k).

This looks very interesting. On that size tank, when you get the water in, what type of filtration are you going to use? Are you planning on putting fish in their at all...

Keep us updated man... this looks very intriging

I dont know if I'm going to put any fish in there, it really is quite small, so I will probably run it without filtration or heat.
Some shrimps will probably be the best, when they legalised.

The base, hood and back is one complete unit so the tank slides under the hood. This doesnt allow space for an hob filter and an internal filter will take up too much space.

The tank was a point of sale container at an LFS in Brackenfell, had to beg them to sell it to me. I then made a stand with the hood, back and base all in one out of supawood.

Have you got any photos showing the entire setup with the hood and base and back? I've been thinking about making something like this for my desk at work.

    Hey, really nice!

Where did u get the HC from and what is that substrate it looks good! Just some advice, the hc and elioclaris(hair grass) dont mix very well the hair grass is a much faster grower and will out compete the hc eventually.. Also what lighting u using?

@ Philfarm - I will take out the hairgrass and change it to hm when I add the water. I'm busy propogating the hm into a bush. There is 1x 18w daylight cfl (6500k) under the hood. What other plants do you think I should consider?
I got the hc from Raymond wbs, he's growing it emmersed.
