    1st up is my planted 3ft. :D

baisic info: dimensions are 90x50x50cm, 200L, pressurized co2 (only paid R750! rocks to have relatives in Poland!), four t5's in two DIY lighting units (made very cheaply out of gutters by my DIY inclined dad, a wonderful idea really), I only dose with seachem flourish for now. tank was setup on Wednesday (7/3/2012), Co2 was gotten running yesterday, lighting unit was finished a few hours ago. All plants came from @Sean J, speaking of which @Sean J, could you maybe post the names of all the plants you sent? I love latin, but I can only remember so much. thanks tremendously for the plants BTW. :D. here are the pics.

    pic info

    1. basic FTS
    2. me by the tank
    3. awesome lighting unit made by dad. (2 of these on the system)
    4. dad posing by his lighting unit, which he is incessantly proud of.
    5. Co2!!!

Oh I see. Sorry :p . Looks good. You can maybe try putting in some reflective material in that gutter to get maximum light from those 2 tubes.

bright enough but turn them on for 10 hours to give the plants some growth
maybe with the reflectors you only need 8 hours? saving on energy and max growth on ur plants
I learnt this yesterday (maybe im wrong)

to be honest, I don't pay for electricity, so I prefer 10 hours of tank watching to 8

Love the DIY on the lights .. white should be ample - see you have small holes on the sides, keen to see how you do for heat on the guttering. Inspirational, I might just have to copy cat some of that.

Is it PVC welded to make it 1 unit (ie gutter + ends)?

Oh yeah the rest of the tank looks good - Sean has been spreading the plant love ... +1 on that.

Ok, I cant view the pics of Persia's tank, I get some message that the link is invalid, please help.

Love the tanks... I especially love the 'Nemos' they are stunning. What all do you have by way of fauna in your marine nano?

What are you planning to keep in the 200l tank?

Oh no please do add more marine mumbo jumbo, but on masa, I'd love to see more details on your tank :) Black clowns are one of my favourites.

    Planted tank looks good :)

thanks and no, its two seperate units with 2 t5s each, I will do a DIY thread for the lights some time. :)

Ok, I will repost persia's tank and see what happens. :)

As for the marine, give me a day to start a thread for the nano on a marine forum (yes, I know I should already have one...)

Lastly, for the 3ft, I'm planning a couple of bristlenose plecs, some otocinclus, a bunch of panda cories, and a big shoal of something as yet undecided. I'm looking at neons, rasboras and emp tetras as the main candidates. Oh and maybe a pair of rams. :) i can't wait.

Thanks, like I said, I'll post a link to a thread for the nano soon ;)
