    Hi there

Don't post much but always lurking in the background

Below is is a pic of my tank I just re did.

    Lighting is 2 X 39w T5's
    A standard 3ft tank

Bought some plants from the lps as well as some Daro gravel

The occupants of the tank have been in the tank for nearly 2 years,

I don't know scientific names so here goes and I know some of the fish are not compatible, but like I said they have been in the tank for the past 2 years or so.

    12 - Black Widow tetras
    3 - neon tetras
    1 - plec (15cm)
    2 - rainbow sharks
some guppies, have a 1 ft tank with more guppies.

    Hi Toyerk

Nice looking tank, although the two plants you have on the left are not true aquatic plants and will die soon. Do you know the kelvin rating of the bulbs? Try putting a few more plants, it just gives a more natural look to the tank IMO.

    Regards
    Peter

I think the kelvin rating is 6000k not too sure, bought them from Dolphin, maybe he knows the kelvin rating, just went to the lps today to get some gravel and walked out with the plants as well, we all know the lps will not tell you if the plants or fish you buy are a good choice :) will try to get some more plants next weekend.

"all know the lps will not tell you if the plants" pity they sold you only one truly aquatic plant ... those LFS's are such a bunch of pranksters. Dracaena borinquensis is very much terrestrial.

    Hi Toyerk...

I love that piece of driftwood you have.
Yes, I can agree with PeterWest, I also doubt those 2 plants on the left are aquatic.
Can I also make a small suggestion... move you heater more down. Hot water rises, so unless the current is very good, you may find the tank is warmer at the top than the bottom. I always like my heater at 45degrees... but I see no reason why your set up won't work.

Thank you for the suggestion Zoom, I have an Elite Jetflo 100 internal filter with spray bar, I will move the heater to 45 degrees, water temp is at 25-26 degrees at the moment, yep f-fish, LFS's are pranksters, I was desperate however, my wife was nagging me to get the fish back into the tank from temporary stay in our bath :)
