Very nice. The last time I had aromatica they didn't even have a chance to get purple, but the polkadot loaches had a nice meal at least.

Damit, dont know why, but seems aromatica is difficult to come by these days. Epic aquatics is constantly out of stock. These 2 stems i received from a friend.

Limpophila Aromatica is one of my favourite plants, and I have had it in various tanks over a number of years.
The plants seem to differ quite significantly at times, with leaf shape and colouration differing.
The current batch I have in a 2 foot low tech tank has much narrower leaves than in previous tanks, and it has not coloured up as brightly as in the past.

I think they like lots of light and fertz, but lets see how it goes, at 1st i thought they might be the green verity of aromatica, but it does seem they have n little pink tint underneath the leaves.

Thanx Claire, its a work in progress, the tank is currently in a experimental phase lol im busy testing my own fertilizer that i want to brand and sell as a commercial fertilizer for planted tanks. Hopefully we can bring something to the hobby thats cheaper than the other products and lasts you a bit longer with great plant growth and zero algea. Some of the chemicals is a bit expensive but its a once off investment so i hope it works out lol

Tank is doing great, just removed most of the hydrocotyle, it was taking over and at a alarming speed lol. O and i broke one of my tanks braces.... Not so nice, luckily a friend will be cutting a new brace for me so i can replace it. [IMG][IMG]

Been a while since the last post, long story short, co2 ran out just before lockdown, never had it filled so the tank ran more or less 40days without co2... Boy o boy lost the carpet tried planting it again and a bba army showed up.

Had the co2 refilled this week and a extra 6.8kg so now im sorted with gas also added a grow tube will see how it goes.

For now maintenance and plant recovery is priority. Bba wiil get a h2o2 bath.

The last pic is only 3 6500k led tubes and the grow tube[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Your tank is looking great, but a pity about the carpet. I'm sure that now you have the CO2 refilled it will be back in no time

Are you still using your EI mix? If so, where do you source all the salts?

Yes still running EI, kno3 is easy you can get it at the pharmacy, kh2po4 you can get at a hydroponics shop and k2so4 at a chemical lab.

Yes and no haha sometimes i make my own micros with non chelated salts and use Fe DTPA as a source of iron. Some you find at the pharmacy and the others you have to order from a laboratory. Those salts are somewhat expensive.
