My tank

    Well not much to say... I moved my tank... What a mission, took me the whole day, luckily no fish deaths so far. Have them in my 3ft for the moment.

    I did manage to rescape the tank the same way it was before the move, just moved a few plants around here and there. Had no time to work out a new scape. Just need to sort out the lights still.

    So far so good... Just looking for some scape bacup to add bacteria before i add the fish, rather safe then sorry lol

    I suspect the crypts will melt, but they will recover in time.

    I might be moving some time this year. Have 6 empty tanks I decided not to setup for that reason. Have 3 running that I'm sure will be stressful to move...

    You've done well - will get hold of some tips from you when I am ready :)

    It all goes into the planning and preparing the move, had the 3ft setup prior to the move and cycled the filter so that i can add the fish to it. Moved the 3ft before i moved the 4ft and added the fish to the 3ft at the new place.

    Wow..lovely tank. Do you dose, co2 etc
    How many watts floodlights are those, and how big is you tank.

    Those are 5 x 30w led flood lights plus 2 x18w led tubes, dosing is co2 and my own EI mix.

    As far as diy and simplicity goes @Clappies ... you have mastered it . Interested in the makeup of your EI mix . What’s in it ?

    Thanks for the info. I'm.planning to do a similar light setup. I'm curious to see what the fish looks like under these lights. Also are these 6500k lights or just chose any standard 30 w led floodlight.

    Thanx guys, haha Pierre hopefully this time it will be a while before we move again, dont be fooled by the nice pic I took a few days ago, if it was a month ago it would have been like soup, had the worst green water ever... It took 3 weeks to clear with a 9w uv filter running 24/7 and like 80% water changes.

    The EI mix i make is as follows :
    50g Kno3 to 200ml distilled water. Dose 6ml of this = 4.1 ppm N
    7g kh2po4 to 200ml distilled water. Dose 6ml of this = 0.6 ppm po4
    20g k2so4 to 200ml distilled water. Dose 6ml of this = 1.2 ppm K

    For traces i still use trelmix, but i dose like almost nothing 0.1 or 0.2ml and 0.5ml of fe gluconate (microb-lift iron)

    Im running the tank lean on ferts but it seems to work oh i also add epsom salt at water change like one teaspoon.

    I only have shrimp in this tank and 9 amano shrimps.
