Hey here is my tank. It's built into our wall and has a capacity of 1500 litre. I have discus, tetras, a siamese fighter, gouramis, corydoras, and allot of plants I don't have the name of :p. I run a sump design filter on the roof wich has a 8000 litre pump supplying it with tank water. I have about 200kilos of wood in my tank and a heck of alot of rockwork... The lighting is 2 x 85 watt daylight energy savers, 2 x 40 watt cool white enerhy savers and 2 x marine blue moon T8 fluorescents.

Is that discus black? Never seen one that colour before! Cool! I can clearly see that you are not a beginner with that setup! Cheers! Big G!

Thanks, the discus is actually a turqoise but I think he wants to see why they say " once youve gone black, you never go back:p"

    Tank dimensions 1.4m length x 1m height x 80cm depth
plus the tank above gives roughly 1500 L

Nice tank. Tank water capacity is 1120lt to the brim.

L * B * H in cm gives you the volume in lts

Yes thats the tank volume but I have a large compartment on the roof wich is used for filtration, thus giving 1500.

Very nice setup you have there :) ......how long have you kept the plants in their plastic pots with the 'wool'? I've never had too much luck keeping them like that as the roots tend to vrot?

The plants are a few months in the tank, only the plants on the rocks still remain in their pots as to best absorpsion of the minerals in the water, I've seen that the roots have grown threw the bottom of the pot and onto the rucks and substrate.
