It looks great. Why not add some driftwood as well? What substrate you using there?

Aaahhhhh - so it's the combination of the CO2 and the 'ferts' in the substrate. It really looks awesome! How long has that tank been running / rate of plant growth?

Its been running for about 2 years.

Growth rate i am not sure because i never documented it. it was a experiment. That tank have never been cleaned!!! promise! only clean outside of glass and filter materiel and what i call bottom skimming.( when i suck the dirt of the bottom but from a dis tans.... not to suck the substrate from under gravel. gravel is only 1.5cm thick.)

I had to trim a lot, remove a lot of the plants that where sold so to specify the rate is very hard. believe me that the tank keeps me busy with trimming.. ;o)

Wow - how often do you do the 'bottom skimming' then and how much water is removed when doing it?

I do skimming maybe one every month to every 2 months. depending on amount of fish in there. and i then i make sure its about 20 %. but i do fill up the tank weekly with borehole water.

The amount of plant and fish is always kept so that there is more plants to use the nitrates....
and give the oxygen that was removed by the Co2. And there is no bubbles in tank. only the way the water falls from the filter.
