Why not add cardinal tetras to the tank - the angels won't eat them as they are larger than the neons.

They're not bigger than Neons when you buy them, not unless they're already large. Opt for a bigger tetra, like Emperors and Blue Emperors.

I have 2 Angels that are about medium size and I have one that is small but like I said before I am going to take my time on this tank I am not going to rush it so the fish can wait till I have completed the tank completely.

I have 6 angels that I BOUGHT WITH the Neons. At the time of going into the tank, the neons were too small, and now they have grown up together they all seem fine.

I introduced another 10 Neone 2 weeks ago to try make the "neon shoal" more impressive... but alas, the (now bigger) angels found out it was good food!

So what I should do is get the all 30 neons and small angels together and let them grow together and once they are bigger I can add my 3 bigger Angels. Would this work or should I forget about the Neons Completely and just get a school of Cordanal tetras?

I decide to check what was the black stuff in my Filter areabecause it looks as if it was painted on..... as I suspected it is a rubber riser no silicon at all...
I am starting to think that is why the guy got rid of the tank probebly did not know why the fish were dieing.

So I have removed the filter completely and have decided to go with a sump instead so I have 2 Questions now
    1. What size sump would work for this tank - 60lt or 100lt?
    2. what will remove the rubber riser that is not toxic to the fish?

Will take pics once it is all off

isn't rubberizer easier to scrape off glass than silicon is? why not use a sharp flat stanley blade?

You'd have a 50% chance of it working - the smaller angels, having grown up with the neons will generally accept THOSE neons and not any new one's you may add (as what happened to Zoom). The larger angels would not have grown up with the neons so when you do one day add them they could also see them as food.

@ Veegal - ok so I might have to go with something else.

@ferryman it comes off very easy so I will go and buy myself a scraper tomorrow and scrape it all off.
