Anyways - im sure everyone has enough of my stand and new tanks
but I am a little fustrated at the moment.

the pumps has not been turned on as of yet (due to no pipes from pump to outlet)
    so here goes.

Is it safe to use aqusafe in non movemnt water.
and the media been used currently are - Matrix, scrubber stuff with holes(dont know what its called) and a bit of ceramic rings and
will be topped off with wool.

    now I have 3 products........
    Seachem stability
    Microbelift spelcial blend
and 2 valves of Prodibio Bio Digest (some concentrated bacts)

so I was thinking to get the cycle started --- have not moved over to prime as of yet... cos still have loads of tetra aquasafe.
and I do enjoy using it to, I know the argument of prime is gonna work out cheaper

my argument is, I am gonna add tetra aquasafe when pump is running
then im gonna add stability and microbelift special blend and then when i pick up the fishes in a weeks time
    and add the concentrated bacts

would the 2 brands conflict? and do you need movement or can i just add this into my compartment with the media? before pump starts running
cos i mean the bacteria needs to grow in that compartment

Don't over think it start with the prime but get pipes for the pumps first, builders will have and don't ad anything before you have the pumps running ,use some mature. Filter material from your other tanks

    IMO only

Microbelift special blend is recommended. In actual fact, i think the ML-SB containes everything that the other 2 contain, plus more. @Henk Hugo gave us a study a few weeks ago showing that most companies only use one type of bacteria culture, where th SB uses many others.

So if those other ones arent open, take them back for store credit.

The prime is to remove chlorine, so you can use that now if you want, but you cant use any of the other products because thats the bacteria. They wil require moving water.

Also, put an airstone in to create some water movement, otherwise the water will go stagnant.

..... Special blend...... the room smells like the toilet but even worse.
didnt add aquasafe to the new water that i loaded yesterday incase it kills off the special blend.

If you're adding aquasafe after 24 hours of the water being in the tank, you're wasting your time. The chlorine gets dissolved out of the water over a certain amount of time.

Adding an air stone will definitely be better for the tank too. You don't want the water going stagnant, as firefly said.

f you have a filter, and especially if the outlet bar is pointing towards the surface, there should be no reason for the water to go stagnant.

If your tank isn't overstocked, you shouldn't need to put in an airstone. It's a matter of preference.
Some people like them, some don't.
