My new 2m

    Well here are pics of my new 2m and some of the inhabitants.

    Nope, I have a pair of Keyholes at home and don't look like that

    Pass.....just answered on the fact that I know it aint a Keyhole :)

    Speaking of Jaguar, Ecopets & Aquariums have a few Jaguar Cichlids in stock at the moment. Really beautiful fish indeed

    yeah you right solex69, jags are awesome fish, but are agro and get huge.

    Are they known plant chompers? And how big do they grow too? I read up about them a while ago but can't remember anything about them except that they are very agressive fish and grow huge (sorry, I'm being lazy now for not googling)

    Jag.... Mmm the king of fish, and yes, the do eat / kill / eradicate plants, in fact anything that moves. And that includes your hands in the tank, they are fully capable of drawing bolld with a bite, especially when breeding....

    That one in the 4th pic looks like a female too, you interested in parting with her????

    females 12 -14 in

    @jaguarcichlid

    nope sorry...a female! that sux....was hoping for a male! i have another jag, much darker in colouration and has bars as oppose to dots on the lateral line.

    That one would be a male.....

    have a spare tank for the rest of your fish ready for when they start breeding.....

    well the lighter of the 2 is always chasing the darker one. so i dunno

    Thats normal.... have they started cleaning an area, or started chasing all the other fish into the opposite end of the tank??

    I got a call today, some guy is getting rid of his female, about 14-16cm, R150. so I will check her out first. She sounds like she is healthy, and breeding size. My boy needz a lover!!!!!!

    Would love to come visit some of my old haunts........
    maybe see that famous tank of yours, but the wife has no sense of humour for me travelling for 8 hours to fetch fish........
    She just doesnt understand!!!!!!!!!

    nope havent started yet. the lighter of the 2 has started clearing the stones from under the big rock in the middle of the tank, and chases the syno from there. but nothing else....the lighter 1 also seems to flare and nip at the darker 1 every now and again.

    Use a different angle bru; bring her with and tell her it's a romantic weekend away in the Cape. That way, you both score....in more ways than one :D

    The problem is then I must bring the fuel guzzler to carry what shopping she does in CT and what I end up buying in your lfs's....

    But the scoring part I like...... ;)

    I would do it just to come see your tanks.....
    a sight to be seen so I gather from what the guys (and gals) say.

    The problem is that if I get to News Cafe in Belville, I will stay...
