My New 1.2m Planted Community Tank

    Here are a couple of pics of my new system planted up this past Sunday.

    Many thanks to Prof Dirk, Darryn and Big G for your help and guidance in setting up my new system.

    System as follows;

    Size: 1200 x 600 x 550mm
    Volume : Tank 390 Lt , Sump 110Lt
    Filtration: Sump
    Lighting: 2x54watt Sylvania Gro-lux + 2x54watt Osram Skywhite
    Substate: 70kg Seachem Flourite
    Plants: Have absolutely no idea.
    Fish: None yet, waiting for tank to cycle.
    Plant Additives: Prof Dirks 5 step dosing system

    I can't seem to make the pics bigger. I wanted to post in such a way that I could include the images in the message body with a short explanation as to waht I had done. If somebody can tell me how to do this, I will re-post.

    Looks great!! And is going to look damn nice when those plants settle in!!!

    Where did you buy that wood?? Getting a 2m tank soon and is looking for some nice pieces.

    Thanks Ace, I did the grand tour of the LFS and chose my wood carefully. I then basically put the two pieces together "lego" style. I cleaned the wood with a high pressure cleaner that I use for removing paint off my walls and oil stains off the drive way.

    Exotic Reef have got some very nice big pieces, perfect for a 2m tank. speak to Reza, pm me for the tel numbers and address if you need it.
