28/08/2009 - Introduced the pair, female in the glass flute method.
29/08/2009 - Released the female in the morning, Male had a small but thick bubblenest going, no embrace as yet.
30/08/2009 - Checked the pair in the afternoon and they had spawned, nest has LOTS of eggs.
    Here is the Sire :

And finally for now a shot of the eggs, these were just the one's on the top, there are LOADS more underneath.
So im expecting a large spawn this time.

I've noticed I always start with alot of eggs...then the male goes:"Oh look....SMARTIES!....nom...nom...nom" I think that there may have been alot of unfertilized eggs... in my last batch...

Ahhh i also got some of those frozen rotifers, they are awesome.
Your male might be chowing the eggs that have gotten all fungal, are you treating your eggs?

Thanks guys, really looking neaten this line up by outcrossing them.
Might decide to introduce some plakat to them too!

    get some anti-fungal meds man.

Once they done their embrace and the male is looking after the eggs, and youve removed the female. Just use some meds then.

Ummm, i dont think so. Im just using the Tetra brand of anti-fungal.

@Ruan - Not as easy as it looks trust me, but the rewards are so good!

One thing that's always bothered me. At what age does one have to separate the males?

    No problemmo man.

Anyways, awoke this morning and checked, and I have tails! YAY! by the looks of things, i got ALOT of them too!

Already started a hatchery of Artemia (Brine Shrimp) that should be enough to feed both my current spawns.

Also have some live plants ion the spawn tank for the fry to chow some infusoria first as well as an established sponge filter for them to feed on the critters that live there.

Just need to get my hands on a micro worm culture.
