    He's generally quite chilled and by far not the biggest fish in this tank, but as in NO BODY messes with him!

    I think the older they get the more stunning they become
    What other fish have you got with him?
    I had one a while ago but boy or boy.. he was nasty..

    Thanks everyone! @MariaS he's in my jumbo tank with my other robust cichlids and green phantom plecos

    That"s awesome, you are lucky

    I guess that within the same species some will have more placid temperaments than others.. not sure if sometimes their upbringing also lays a role..

    I always wanted one with a sore heart but again he wasnt in with large aggressive cichlids which could be the reason he bullied everyone else...

    @MariaS Yes well I brought him up from a baby. I had a pair a few years back which bred and wow, did they get super aggressive! I ended up giving them and their babies away. On their own they're not too bad, there is no way to keep a pair in a community tank unfortunately. Unlike the Mayans, with them I have been lucky so far.
