Hey guys just thought id share some of my experience with aquariums, it all started one day when i was about 5 years old i came hme and dad had a small tank waiting for me with some guppys, thru the years the tanks passed i never really had any interest in them, went from 2 ft to 3ft basic fw tanks with a mixed bag of fish, and when i hit high school the bug bit, we bought of a guys system that came with huge tinfoil barbs, plecos, deacons etc, quite nice, as i got into it changed the tank to my taste, had to get rid of the green deacons cos of their continous breeding, became annoying, i raised and sold the babies as well, and i kept a single golden one from the first batch and raised it up to about 15cm, what a beautiful speciman, kept it with a 45cm pangasius that i grew from 3cm, huge 15cm bala sharks also from tiny ones, had a huge array of fish and the tank was very crowded, needed to get rid of some so i sol them and went into malawis, kept that for a few years, got bored and went for big fish again, i had an awesome hi fin pangasius, then i decided to go marine, this tank has gone under huge tranformations, from a simple fish setup to a full blown reef, heres some pics

So now i want to dabble in a planted tank ( more my brother than i, i was happy with the reef) and i found myslef here to get all the advice i can, i learnt about the importance advice when i started a reef tank and not to make mistakes, get advise first before i do anything, so been keeping fish for about 17 years now, will post some pics of the planted tank when it settles down and everythings going smooth
