    Hi guys...

    In my 30 litre tank at work I have some guppies... now the oldest guppy, is one I had before when I knew nothing about water changes. I got fin rot in the tank and got something to sort it out. He was the only survivor. I took some pics as best I could with what I have. Look in the pics, his tail is pointy and stiff... it used to be beautiful, wavy and looked like flames. He was my favourite guppy in the tank. Is there hope for my little guy? Will his tail grow back? Is there anything I can do to help him? It's sad for me to see him like this. Of course it doesn't seem to phase him at all. He is still a show off.:cool:

    I would just like to help him if it's possible.
    Here are the pics... sorry for the bad quality:

    Well he has been like this for a couple of months now. So I'm worried that it's permanent. :frown:

    @cheekychops
    Do I just let the tea bag float around in the tank? Or do I hide it somewhere where they can't peck at it?

    @Fishtastic I just float the bag in the water. If you search for Rooibos on the forum there are many diiscussions about how/when/why/if to use rooibos tea bags.

    Rooibos! works every time. Salt is okay for the guppies, they like it like that (uh-huh, uh-huh) - Sorry, couldn't resist - I'm not so sure about the Cories and the otos though. Guys???

    Cool thank you so much. I will keep you posted and let you know how my guppy feels about drinking tea. Hehe. :nuts: That's so cool. Who would have thought. :D I've learnt so much since being on this site... it's amazing. (and shocking that I kept fish in the past with such great ignorance :eek:h:)

    yea, rooibos works like a charm, you dont have to keep the bag in there permanently, the water will turn tea color and you leave it like that for a couple of weeks adding more tea when you do waterchange. when solving fin rot it is VERY important to keep your water a clean as possible.
