You would think the LFS's would be crying for you to sell them fish but they always seem to show no interest?

Yes some of them do. Here in bfn is two that have bought fish from me so i'm pretty confident that they will still buy. They don't give me that much but its better than nothing. They give me half of what they sell it for.

Dude, I would happily take half the selling price. Dwarf gourami are about R40.00 here!

I paid r68 for my pair. Then the male died. Got a red and blue male for r30. So ja i guess if i can get 50 or so of the fry raised i can make about r750. Mmmmm:)

What did your original male look like? The dwarf gourami are normally red with blue stripes.

The first one is a dwarf gourami. The second one is a sunset gourami. I have currently got a male sunset and a female dwarf which are trying to breed.. My 3 gourami fry are from a dwarf pair.

I found that initially some of mine grew much faster than others. Apparantly you should seperate the big ones from the small ones to give the small guys a chance to get food. Mine have all pretty much caught up to each other size wise.

Sorry to hear that dude. Next time...

Nope. I'm about to give up on these two and just wait for my 3 gourami fry to mature and then try them with my female.
