My First Planted tank

    Finally finished setting my first attempt at a planted tank.

    Canopy and light stand was DIY.

    Lighting - 2x 14w Phillips daylight CFL bulbs. I used PFP capped with fine black sand, oh and not forgetting some nails:bigsmile:

    Big thanks to Khalid for some of the plants.

    Still getting used to all the plant,names etc so feel free comment on plants selection, placement etc.

    Dude, that looks really sweet, :bigsmile: btw what sand did you put over the PFP ? I'm looking to do a similar setup.

    Its fine black sand, Not sure if its the same as the Midnight sparkle.

    Looks awesome! I love the black substrate and the plants look like they are doing really well.

    Nice set up. Dont see a polystyrene base though, maybe im wrong

    Thanks everyone. Any ideas of a what plant to add for a bit of colour that will do well with the light I have?. I have since changed the two 14W CFL's with 18W.
