    I'm new to betta breeding and I think it's amazing how this fish go about breeding.

    After all the trail and errors I manage to get my first pair to breed.Now I'm just waiting for the eggs to hatch.Hold thumbs that I get a good result.

    Here is some pics of the Bettas I used.

    @johanbosman,
    Well done.

    There is nothing like the excitement of breeding a new fish for the first time.

    My first suprise came in the first of January bought a pair in late December, female jumped out of her holding bay and during the early hours of that morning they had spawned no cooking clue what to do, but I managed using the forum for information and speaking to members for advice, now I am sitting with a new face-lift of imported bettas.

    @HennieRoux

    Thank you.I think so to.

    Just want to find out how you can determine if a male or female is to old to breed if you didn't have them from when they fry?

    Thats is a tough thing to dtermine...esspecially if you bought him from a petshop, so peredicting age is almost impossible, but mostly the male will not show any breeding signs, like flairing @ the female chasing her or building a nest. Sometimes they will actually spawn, but will be unfertile, so the eggs will not hatch, that is why if possible always buy from a breeder that can tell you the age and back ground of the fish, esspecially if you want to breed him or her.

    After a long waited re condition I'm going at it again. My male build a nice big bubble nest and will be introducing the female later today and let’s see what happens.
