lemons 011.jpgSo my dream for years has been to own a pair of True Lemon Oscars- not yellows/ albinos

You do come across yellow oscars every now and then which are actually a colour variant of the albino read.
These are yellow, usually a deeper yellow and their eyes will have the pink/red/orange of an albino

True Lemons are a genetic strain bred from the tiger and do not carry the albino gene
Their yellow is more a lemon yellow, solid and no pattern and their eyes are dark like tiger oscars

For years I have wanted some... but never thought it would happen
About.... just under 2 years ago, Cesar said I mustn't loose hope, I would get them one day and I laughed at him
Unbeknown to me one of the LFS's had managed to find a breeder and the order was placed then but he was warned it would be a long wait

Well... they arrived last week out of the blue....lemons 004.jpg

At this stage, their little eyes are brown/black like my tiger oscars, they have no red in them like my albino reds....

All other small albinos I have seen have the red from small so... will keep fingers crossed and we will see what happens... it will certainly be interesting so hold thumbs for me!

    Hey @MariaS, very nice O's <3

I hope you get a breeding pair from those, you usually need six to be guaranteed a pair, but four should work :) What did they go for if I may ask? How big are they, they look to be 3cm about from shape and eye vs body size?
