    Hi guys
Just want to share my tank progress with everyone . Ok to start with i bought a 4ft tank and stand with normal plastic hood for R500.00. including 3 x angles and 3 x guppy males. The tank was in a bit of a bad condition. sctatched glass, lime scum, rusted stand, light not working and very dirty, but could not say no cause of the price.
I started by tanking the whole tank apart and replacing the front glass and all the bracing. It was a hell of a job never knew silicone stuck like that. So ja i siliconed everything back to gether again. not as perfect as the pro's but ja it will have to do.
Then got a 3ft to use as a sump. bottom was cracked so had to replace that aswell.
Luckily i got the glass for free.
I then started to rebuild the stand and reinforce it because i did not trust the steel it was made of. i used some 8mm plywood to cover the stand and make it look like a cupboard.
there is still alot of work to be done, like stain the wood, wiring and plumbing.
I built a overflox box to get water to the sump. please note this is my fist try and think it came out quite nice i tested it and it seems to be working.

    Tank specs:

    tank size: 1200mm x 450mm x 450mm

    Filtration:

    sump size: 900mm x 300mm x 300mm
    dolphin c1000 canister 1000l/h
1700l/h return pump from sump at 1200mm head
600l/h sunsun internal filter for circulation

    Heater:

    300w dolphin

    Lights:

    3 x 30watt t8 flourecet tubes(biolux)
    1 x 28watt 4ft opple 6500k
1 x 21watt 3ft opple 6500k underneath tank for sump( want to put some plants in sump)

    Cabinet specs:

    1200mm x 450mm x 800mm ( without tank )

    Flora:

to start with i am just going to put vallis and java moss in.

    Flauna:

    6 x Angles
    6 x albino cory's
    6 x pepper cory's
    8 x kribs
    2 x bolivian rams
    1 x dwarf gourami
    1 x red ribin gourami
    1 x albino ancistrus
    1 x common ancistrus

That will be the fauna for now.

Here are a few pics. please feel free to comment and all suggestions are welcome.
