    Looks good.
Can you maybe plant some tall growing plants in front of the filter to hide it a bit?

The tank is a 210l jebo r3100. I did some stock changes as in i got rid of my bala's in there (good idea) and i got rid of my knife fish (good idea) . Current stock 2 discus , a pleco, 2 black mollies, and 1 cory (adding to the list.100_0237.jpg100_0241.jpg100_0238.jpg100_0240.jpg

Well easiest if they are growing really and i mean really slow. Also there eyes will almost look too big for their body. they will almost be elongated like a cigar. These are the only symptoms i know =)

Sorry didnt see foggy's post. Ive had them for about 6 months now. They are actually relatively easy you just have to get the basics. like frequent water changes ( i do a 10% every 2 days) right diet ( many recommend new life spectrum which we dont have here, but i feed mine tetra prima granules in the night and day and bloodworms every 3 days, and last the right tank mates ( Discus should be the biggest fish in the tank, so you could get cories, some neons or some other small fish) thats basically the basics =) hope it helped.,

Thanks , think i will give them a bash always wanted to keep some but have been warned about the difficulty involved and hole in the head disease which i believe they are prone to get , but will start
them of in a smaller tank first (10% of 720l is alot of work every 2 days)

720l where did you get that? its a 210 l jebo r3100. I forgot to also say get a relatively large size tank i mean dont put them in a 60L, but im sure you already knew this. Filtration also have strong filtration to get the junk out the water.

OH ok if i were you i would start them in the 720 because then its not a hastle and stress to the fish when you move them. All depends on you

    Hi Matteffect,

Have a look at my subforum for a recommendation for a discus diet. It is not surprising that your fishes are stunted on that diet, it is completely deficient in a variety of nutrients. Where did you get the advice about feeding them Tetra Prima and bloodworm, this is the typical advice that petshops give and it is a total disaster. I supply someone in Durban with the foods that I import and I would advise that you contact him to obtain some decent food, but feeding what you are at the moment, your fishes will not grow out properly and you are headed for all sorts of problems and soon.

    Kind regards,

    Dirk
