My Corner Unit

Ok so its about time i uploaded some pics of my tank.

It is a Jebo R470 corner unit. It holds about 270 litres. Had the tank for 3 years now.

Fishwise i have 1x large angel, 2x golden gouramis, 5x black widow tetra, 5x glowlights, 2x clown loaches and my favourite......1x large pleco!!

Im not good at my plant names but ive got quite a few.

Besides awesome lighting, what's a top way to ensure healthy plants? If you could give just one suggestion, what would it be?

 

That looks great! Doesn't a curved tank hurt your eyes though?

 

It looks exactly the same as flat glass, especially on this corner tank.


My bullet shape has a bit of a weird distortion, but it's more the water than the glass, can't say it hurts my eyes.

 

I was just asking... when i look at an angle through my straight glass it hurts my eyes (Just behind my eyes) Hope that doesn't mean i have a tumour

Madam:- Lighting is obiously a key factor to healthy plants. But I think that if you have a good sandy substrate and good filtration your plants will be very healthy!!

LiftCrazy:- No it doesnt hurt my eyes. Ive always like curved glass.

 

Very nice corylyle1... is that a plant or plastic that the jager is pointing to in DSCF0754 ?

Wow thanks so much for all your responses. I really love my freshwater tank and im so happy that other people do too!!

Dean:- I got the tank 4 years ago for R3500 which included lights, pump, filter, stand and heater. Scince then i would quess that i have spent R2000 on fish and about R1500 on plants. So overall i think i have spent over R7000 getting this setup like it is today.

 

Hi guys sorry I havent kept you all up-to-date on whats happening with my tank!!

Anyway I ahve added another golden gourami and 6 harlequin tetras. I also have a few more plants (not sure of the names)!!
