My angels

Just thought I'd post some pics of my angels-have four in total, two marbled, one which has stripes and I think the other is a panda- feel free to correct me Sorry bout the pic quality. I only recently got them, have had them for about two months ish. What age do they start breeding and is there a way to age them approximately, maybe using size etc???

as for your Question they should start breeding at around a year old but there size I am not to sure about but I have seen some nice big angels
there is a thread that I started in the breeding section you should read it, it will answer all your questions I hope and if not you can always ask Veegal she is like Angel expert here...lol

Nice Angels there.

Mine started breeding at about 7 months... To tell the age by size is a bit difficult because it is said that Angels size can be stunted due to the size of the tank.

What size tank are these angels in?

If they in a community tank, it will be rather "hair-raising" to see the parents looking afte the eggs. They change colour and they become extrememly aggressive towards the other angels, and some of the other fish. If you want to breed succesfully, I.e reaise the fry, I would suggest you get another 3ft tank and put the pair in it seperately.

Will check out your thread Gareth. They are in a 3ft community at th mo, but moving some of the other fish out into a new tank. Am moving into a new flat today which is going to be quite an adventure, taking apart the tanks and re assembling and sorting out the fish Is there a way of sexing the fish? Is it okay to keep my mollies and my male gourami in with them? They all get on really well at the moment...The tank is really well planted so I'm sure they could easily set up little territory areas within it...how big a space do they like to protect their eggs in?
